Tales from the Loop is an American science fiction television series based on the graphic novel of the same name by Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag . All eight episodes of the first season were released on April 3, 2020 on Prime Video .
action
The series is set at an unspecified time in the village of Mercer , Ohio . Below the village is an underground research facility, the Mercer Center for Experimental Physics (MCEP) , also known as The Loop (Swedish: Slingan ). The influences of the loop and the experiments carried out there lead to strange incidents in the village that form the theme of the series.
After an introductory monologue by the head of the MCEP, each episode tells a story about the inhabitants of the city of Mercer, which at first glance appears to be independent and yet connected to the others, with a changing main character in the center. Artifacts can often be seen in the episodes, as they also appear in Stålenhags graphic novel, but these do not necessarily have a supporting function for the plot, such as the floating tractor in the episode "Gaddis" (see MacGuffin ). Recurring themes are time travel and parallel worlds and thus encounters with oneself .
Cast and dubbing
The German dubbing was created under the dialogue direction by Karlo Hackenberger and the dialogue book by Claudia Otto at Scalamedia .

5 | control | Control | Tim Mielants | Nathaniel Halpern |
