Dan Bakkedahl (born November 18, 1969 in Rochester , Minnesota ) is an American actor and comedian from The Second City .

life and career

Dan Bakkedahl was born in the city of Rochester , Minnesota , and grew up in Stuart , Florida . He is partly of Norwegian descent. After high school, he studied at both St. Cloud State University and Florida State University .

Some time later he moved to Chicago , where he performed with the group The Second City . Even today he still appears on stages such as the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater or the Magnet Theater in New York . Since 2002 he has also appeared in film and television. He had his first major role in The Daily Show from 2005 to 2007, where he acted both as a correspondent and played himself. He then moved to Los Angeles and mainly took on guest roles in series such as How I Met Your Mother , Das Büro , Hot in Cleveland and Dollhouse . He also took on supporting roles in films such as Taffe Girls and Immer Ärger at 40 .

From 2012 to 2019, Bakkedahl played the recurring role of Roger Furlong in the HBO series Veep - The Vice President . He also took on supporting roles in The Goldbergs and The Mindy Project . In 2015 he appeared in Hitman: Agent 47 and Trumbo and has since played the role of Tim Hughes in the series Life in Pieces .
