Tyler Davis Barnhardt (born January 13, 1993 in Raleigh , North Carolina ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through the role of Charlie St. George from the series Dead Girls Don't Lie .

life and career

Tyler Barnhardt was born in Raleigh, the capital of the US state North Carolina. He grew up in a suburb of the metropolis of Charlotte , where he graduated from David W. Butler High School in 2011. In 2015 he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensb with a Bachelor of Fine Arts . At the age of twelve he first appeared on the theater stage in a production of the musical Guys and Dolls . As a result, he took part in all subsequent school projects on the stage. During the summers he took part in the theater program in Charlotte. Shortly after graduating from college, he moved to New York City to gain a foothold in the acting business.

Barnhardt made his acting debut in front of the camera in 2016 with a guest appearance on the series Turn: Washington's Spies . The following year he played a supporting role as Matthew Roe in the second season of Underground . Appearances in Bull and Scorpion followed . In 2019, he was cast as Charlie St. George in a supporting role in the series Dead Girls Don't Lie from the streaming provider Netflix . The role was expanded to a leading role for the final fourth season from 2020 and brought Barnhardt greater awareness. In 2020 he also took on one of the leading roles as Danny Jansson in the science fiction series Tales from the Loop .
