The Josephine Beach is a beach on the island of Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It lies between Kildalkey Head and Erratic Point on the shores of South West Bay .
The beach is named after the American sealer Josephine from New Bedford , Massachusetts , who operated in the waters around Heard in 1907.
