Dating Alex (Original title: Courting Alex ) is an American sitcom starring the actress Jenna Elfman , known from Dharma & Greg in the lead role. The eight broadcast episodes aired between January 23 and March 29, 2006. The German-language first broadcast took place on April 15, 2013 on sixx .

Alex Rose is a lawyer who has everything in life but a friend. Her workplace is her father Bill's law firm . He can't cope with the fact that Alex doesn't have a boyfriend yet. As a result, he tries to bring Alex together with Stephen, who is a good son-in-law for him.

Over time, however, Alex develops feelings for Scott Larson, a chemist she met while negotiating his bar.

The other protagonists of the series are the British artist Julian, who lives in Alex's neighborhood, and her assistant Molly.

The series' original title was Everything I Know About Men and later The Jenna Elfman Show .

Despite the excellent audience numbers at the beginning, the ratings for the series fell when it was moved to Wednesday. In May 2006 it was announced that CBS would not order a second season. At that time, the first eight episodes had aired and the series was on summer break. However, it was later announced that the rest of the episodes will no longer be broadcast by CBS. The last four episodes were broadcast from August 21 to August 28, 2006 on Paramount Comedy 1 UK.

Germany

In Germany, the station sixx broadcast the series between April 15, 2013 and April 22, 2013 in its morning program in double episodes.
