Joshua "Josh" Collins Stamberg (born January 4, 1970 in Washington, DC ) is an American actor .

Life

Josh Stamberg was born in Washington, DC to Susan Stamberg, a journalist , and Louis C. Stamberg, who worked for the State Department. He attended the Maret School from fourth through twelfth grade. Stamberg studied philosophy and acting at the University of Wisconsin – Madison .

Josh Stamberg made his television debut in 1994 in the film Normandy: The Great Crusade . Since then, appearances in television series such as Sex and the City , Law & Order , New York Cops - NYPD Blue , Hope & Faith , CSI: Vegas , Grey's Anatomy , It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia , Dr. House , Lie to Me and Criminal Minds . He has appeared in two episodes in CSI: Miami , Six Feet Under , Monk and Men in Trees and Castle .

Stamberg had his first long role in 2005 in the series Over There - Kommando Irak . The following year he starred alongside Jenna Elfman in ten episodes of Dating Alex . A little later he was seen in the series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip . Between 2009 and 2012, he starred Jay Parker in the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva . With the beginning of the fifth season, his character left the main cast due to budget cuts.

He is married to actress Myndy Crist and has a daughter with her.
