Jaime Pressly (born July 30, 1977 in Kinston , North Carolina ) is an American actress and model and Emmy Award winner.

life and career

Pressly started modeling when she was 14. At the age of 15, she was legally declared of age in order to be able to travel alone to assignments in Tokyo and Milan , as her parents could not accompany her. Pressly has been doing dance and gymnastics training since she was a child .

After working as a body double for Drew Barrymore in Poison Ivy in 1992, her career as an actress began in 1997 with the movie Horror Trip into Space . At first she only starred in B-movies , but over time she became more popular with teen comedies like Eins, Zwei, Pie - Who Has a Choice, Has Torment (2000), parodies like Tomcats (2001) and rough comedies like Joe Dreck (2001 ) known.

Besides not another teen movie! Pressly played in several music videos ( The Space Between by the Dave Matthews Band , Aerosmiths Girls of Summer and Marilyn Mansons Tainted Love ) and performed with the Pussycat Dolls .

Pressly posed for Playboy twice (March 1998 and February 2004). In 2006 she starred in the action film D.OA - Dead or Alive , an adaptation of the video game Dead Or Alive . She also runs the J'aime Production company , through which she sells the J'aime Clothing brand .

On May 11, 2007, Pressly had a son. The father is her boyfriend at the time, Eric Calvo (aka DJ Eric Cubiche). A few months later, she won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a comedy series for her role as Joy Turner in the television series My Name Is Earl , after losing to Megan Mullally ( Will & Grace ) the year before .

Pressly had been living with the lawyer Simran Singh since July 2009, and the two married in September 2009. On January 21, 2013, she filed for divorce.

On October 16, 2017, Pressly became the mother of twins. The father is her current partner, Hamzi Hijazi.
