Joanna Cassidy (* 2. August 1945 as Joanna Virginia Caskey in Haddonfield , New Jersey ) is an American actress .

Life

Joanna Cassidy began her acting career on television series such as Cobra, Take Over and Starsky & Hutch . In Blade Runner , she played the replicant Zhora on the side of Harrison Ford , Rutger Hauer and Daryl Hannah . In the film, Under Fire starred opposite Nick Nolte and Gene Hackman and out of control she stood next to Keanu Reeves and Morgan Freeman in front of the camera. She played the mother of subcommander T'Pol in several episodes of the Star Trek: Enterprise series . From 1999 to 2000 she played the role of Madison Wesley in the television series Diagnosis: Murder . From 2001 to the end of the series in 2005, she played in the television series Six Feet Under - Brenda Chenowith's mother always dies . Together with the ensemble of the series, Cassidy was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award and received several Emmy Awards.

This was followed by other, partly recurring roles in various television series. In 2006 she appeared in several episodes in Boston Legal as Beverly Bridge . In the comedy series Call Me Fitz , she played the mother of the main character, Elaine Fitzpatrick . Also as the mother of the main character, she has appeared several times as Joan Hunt in the crime series Body of Proof since 2011 .

Joanna Cassidy was married to Kennard C. Kobrin from 1964 to 1974, and they have two children.
