Haddonfield is a US municipality in Camden County in the US state of New Jersey . The population was 11,593 in 2010.
Haddonfield was founded by Elizabeth Haddon (1680–1762) and named after her father John Haddon, who bought the land on which the place was founded, although he has never been to the United States.
The Indian King Tavern , located in the village and built in 1750, played a special role during the American Revolution . New Jersey was declared an independent state here during the Revolutionary War in 1777. Today the tavern is a museum.
