John G. Fary

John George Fary (born April 11, 1911 in Chicago , Illinois , †  June 7, 1984 there ) was an American politician . Between 1975 and 1983 he represented the state of Illinois in the US House of Representatives .

Career

John Fary attended public schools in his home country and then graduated from Holy Trinity High School and Loyola University . He also attended the Real Estate School of Illinois and the Midwest Institute . He later embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Party . Between 1955 and 1975 he was an MP in the Illinois House of Representatives .

After the death of MP John C. Kluczynski , Fary was elected as his successor to the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC , where he took up his new mandate on July 8, 1975 at the due by-election for the fifth seat of Illinois . After three re-elections, he could remain in Congress until January 3, 1983 . In 1982 he was no longer nominated for re-election by his party. John Fary died on June 7, 1984 in his hometown of Chicago.
