William N. Baltz

William Nicolas Baltz (born February 5, 1860 in Millstadt , Illinois ; † August 22, 1943 there ) was an American politician .

After completing his schooling, William Baltz worked in a wide range of business areas such as agriculture and banking. He was a member of the Millstadt Education Committee and served as its president from 1892 to 1917. Between 1897 and 1913 he was a member of the governing body of St. Clair County ( Board of Supervisors ), which he chaired from 1908 to 1911.

Baltz was elected as a Democrat in the 63rd  Congress , where he represented the state of Illinois in the US House of Representatives from March 4, 1913 to March 3, 1915 . He was unable to defend his seat in the 1914 elections. Baltz was mayor of Millstadt for six years and then went back to business in the city. He died there in 1943 and was buried in Mount Evergreen Cemetery .
