Winnifred Sprague Mason Huck (born September 14, 1882 in Chicago , Illinois , †  August 24, 1936 there ) was an American politician . In 1922 and 1923 she represented the state of Illinois in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Winnifred Sprague Mason, her maiden name, was the daughter of William E. Mason (1850-1921), who represented the State of Illinois in both chambers of Congress . She attended the public schools in her home country and in Washington, DC after that she worked as her father's secretary. After his death, she was elected as a candidate for the Republican Party in the 27th  constituency of Illinois as its successor in Congress. Between November 7, 1922 and March 3, 1923, she ended the current legislative period there. The Republicans did not put it up for election to the next session.

In 1923, she also unsuccessfully sought her party's nomination for another by-election in Congress. She died in Chicago on August 24, 1936.
