The Paperboy is an American thriller from the year 2012 , which appeared on the 1995 eponymous novel by Pete Dexter is based.

Ward Jansen returned to his hometown of Lately in the summer of 1969. In the sleepy town in Florida swamp the successful wants journalist of the Miami Times , together with his colleague Yardley Acheman the case of possibly wrongly sentenced to death investigate Hillary Van weather. The mentally unstable is said to have killed the local sheriff a few years ago .
The two reporters and Wards want to prove his innocence as a dedicated little brother Jack with the help of Hillary's fiancé Charlotte Bless.
