Film Fest Gent
The Film Fest Gent , formerly Flanders International Film Festival Ghent (Dutch: Internationaal Film Festival van Vlaanderen - Gent) was held for the first time in 1974 in Ghent , Belgium . It takes place in October every year. The film festival is known for its focus on film music . The Georges Delerue Award for Best Music has been presented since 1992 and the World Soundtrack Award ( Grand Prix for the best film) as the highlight since 2001 .
Every year concerts with film music are held during the festival . Composers like Craig Armstrong , Elmer Bernstein , Carter Burwell , Michael Danna , Georges Delerue , Patrick Doyle , Harry Gregson-Williams , Maurice Jarre , Michael Kamen , Cliff Martinez , Ennio Morricone , Gustavo Santaolalla , Howard Shore , Gabriel Yared or Hans Zimmer had in Gent their appearances.
