Chaim Tabakman

Chaim Tabakman (also Haim Tabakman ; Hebrew חיים טבקמן; * 1975 ) is an Israeli director .

He became particularly well-known in 2009 with his film " You shall not love " (Hebrew Ejnajim pkuhot , English Eyes Wide Open ), which impressively depicts the conflicts and problems of two devout orthodox homosexuals coming out within their religious community. The film touches on a taboo in the world of Orthodox Judaism , in which, according to Tabakman, "being gay just didn't exist before".
