Roberto Schaefer

Roberto Schaefer (* in White Plains , New York ) is an American cameraman .

Life

From 1969 to 1973 Schaefer studied at Washington University in St. Louis . In the 1980s he began his work as a cameraman, where he also took part in television productions. His oeuvre includes more than three dozen productions.

Schaefer has been shooting regularly with director Marc Forster since the 1995 film Loungers . Another director Schaefer has worked with several times is Christopher Guest .

Schaefer was nominated for the British Academy Film Award in 2005 for his camera work on When Dreams Learn to Fly . In 2013 he was recognized for his work at the Camerimage film festival .
