Johnathon Schaech (born September 10, 1969 in Edgewood , Maryland ) is an American actor , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Johnathon Schaech had his first major role in the 1995 film An American Quilt. This was followed by That Thing You Do! by Tom Hanks and Eisige Stille with Jessica Lange and Gwyneth Paltrow . In 1998 he received an award from the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival for Woundings and in 2001 for his directorial debut Comforters, Miserable . After films like The Forsaken - Die Nacht ist greierig and 8mm 2 , Schaech founded the production company Chesapeake Films. He is currently working on film adaptations of the Stephen King works From a Buick 8 and Black House, among others .

Schaech was married to Christina Applegate from 2001 to 2007 . In 2010 he married the actress Jana Kramer . However, the marriage only lasted a month until Kramer filed for divorce.
