The Forsaken - The night is greedy ( The Forsaken ) is an American horror film by JS Cardone from the year 2001 .

action

The film editor Sean wants to become a director. He's having problems with his manager. Sean drives from Los Angeles to Miami , where his sister gets married. Due to a car breakdown, he spends the night in a hotel, where he is plagued by nightmares and inexplicable noises. There are traces of blood on the window in the next room, but Sean overlooks them.

During the onward journey he takes Nick with him, who later turns out to be a vampire hunter. You meet a group of young people who stayed in the same hotel as Sean last night. Sean and Nick find Megan near a bar, who was bitten by the vampires. Nick carefully examines whether she has been bitten before helping the girl.

Sean gets infected a little later. The three try to kill the leader of the vampire group Kit, which would stop Sean's transformation into a vampire. Kit can only be killed on holy ground, however. Nick explains to Sean that Kit was one of the eight knights who sold their souls and became undead during the Crusades . Four of them were later killed by the vampire hunters, of the four remaining two live in the United States. Nick is looking for these knights because he was infected himself.

A showdown takes place in a house that was built on the site of an earlier cemetery. Kit gets wedged between Sean's Auto and a wall as the sun rises. The vampire is burning.

The injured Sean goes to the hospital. After his release, he spends a few months looking for Nick on the streets of the country. He finally finds him, takes him in the vampire's car and wants to hunt vampires with him.
