Izabella Miko (born January 21, 1981 in Łódź , Poland ; real name Izabela Anna Mikołajczak ) is an American - Polish actress .

Life and accomplishments

Miko made his debut as a child in the Polish children's film Pan Kleks w kosmosie (1989). She was accepted into a prestigious ballet school in Warsaw at the age of ten . When she was 15, she moved to New York City , where she was accepted into the School of American Ballet. After a knee injury, she returned to Poland for some time, but later moved back to the United States. She was taught at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute .

The first US production in which Miko appeared was the film Coyote Ugly (2000), in which she played opposite Piper Perabo . She took on the role of Megan in the horror film The Forsaken (2001) , who fights vampires with Sean ( Kerr Smith ) and Nick ( Brendan Fehr ). She took on one of the leading roles in the thriller Minimal Knowledge (2002). She also played the lead role in the music film Save the Last Dance 2 (2006). She also starred in the videos for Mr. Brightside and Miss Atomic Bomb by The Killers .
