Reviews

The lexicon of international films writes that the remake of the horror slasher film from 1980, which is "almost entirely without blood, sex and alcohol", without these genre stylistic devices, "particularly clearly shows the stupid plot that does not even have the nostalgic charm of a ghost train ride [e ] ”, Reveal.

Angela Zierow wrote in TV Digital 12/08 on May 31, 2008, “that the film is an unimaginatively filmed slasher thriller with uninspired actors. No horror film cliché is left out and the film only scores with its soundtrack ”.

The Heilbronner Voice wrote as a conclusion in their review of June 5, 2008: “We don't know whether the makers of“ Prom Night ”intended to make a youth-free butcher film without much violence, sex and alcohol, or a parody of such strips. But they can confidently be certified that they have missed all goals. "
