Scott Porter

Matthew Scott Porter (born July 14, 1979 in Omaha , Nebraska ) is an American actor best known as Jason Street in the television series Friday Night Lights .
Life
Scott Porter was born in Nebraska to Butch and Robin Porter and grew up with two younger siblings, a brother and a sister. He attended Lake Howell High School in Winter Park, Florida, where he played as a wide receiver on the football team and graduated in 1997. Porter then studied at the University of Central Florida .
After Scott Porter moved to New York , he received roles in two off-Broadway musicals, Altar Boyz and Toxic Audio . After appearances in the soap Young and Passionate - As Life Goes , The Bedford Diaries and Alles Betty! he received a lead role on the NBC series Friday Night Lights . For two seasons he played Jason Street , the quarterback for the Dillon Panthers, who was injured and then paralyzed in a wheelchair. In the third and fifth seasons of the series, Porter still had guest appearances. Then starred in several films. For example in Prom Night , Speed Racer and Bandslam - Get Ready to Rock! . Porter has had recurring guest roles in the series Caprica and Good Wife . He was a narrator in the English versions of Marvel Animes .
From September 2011 to March 2015 he played the role of George Tucker in the television series Hart of Dixie .
Scott Porter married a casting director in April 2013. In May 2015, Porter had a son.
