Jessalyn Gilsig
Jessalyn Sarah Gilsig (born November 30, 1971 in Montreal , Québec ) is a Canadian - American actress .
life and career
From 1989 to 1993 studied Jessalyn Gilsig at the McGill University English . She trained as an actress at the American Repertory Theater's Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University .
Gilsig began her acting career with small roles in various film productions such as Jacknife (1989). In the 1990s she had small appearances in various television series such as Seven Days - Das Tor zur Zeit or Viper . Her breakthrough came with a leading role in the series Boston Public , where she played the role of teacher Lauren Davis from 2000 to 2002. She took on a second well-known role in the series Nip / Tuck - Beauty Has Its Price , in which she portrayed the character of Gina Russo . She took on another role in the series Heroes . Here she embodied the mother of Claire Bennet . In 2008 she starred in Prom Night - the remake of the 1980 horror film Prom Night - opposite Brittany Snow . She also appeared in the film XIII - The Conspiracy , which is based on the comic series , in the same year . From 2009 to 2011 she was in the comedy musical series Glee as Terri Schuster .
From 2005 to 2010 Gilsig was married to producer Bobby Salomon. They have a daughter who was born in 2006. She has been a US citizen since 2013 .
