James Ransone

James Finley Ransone III (born June 2, 1979 ) is an American actor .

Life

James Ransone attended the George Washington Carver School of Art and Technology in Towson , Maryland from 1993 to 1997 . This is a school that allows students to take subjects such as dance, drama, writing, fine arts and film. Ransone initially attended the theater, but then switched to the visual arts.

The actor began his acting career in 2001 with the film The American Astronaut . This was followed by appearances in various television series, such as Third Watch - Einsatz am Limit and Law & Order , and films. One of his most famous roles is probably that of Tate in Larry Clark's Ken Park . He also starred alongside Jodie Foster and Denzel Washington in Inside Man and in Prom Night , the remake of Prom Night . From 2008 to 2012 he played major roles on the HBO series Generation Kill , How to Make It in America and Treme . In 2012 he starred alongside Ethan Hawke and Juliet Rylance in Scott Derrickson's horror film Sinister . More film and television appearances followed. His work includes more than 60 productions.
