Kristy - Run for Your Life (original title Kristy ) is an American horror film directed by Oliver Blackburn from 2014 .
action
After most of the students drive home to their families over the holidays, Justine and one of her friends spend Thanksgiving alone on their university's remote campus. After her friend decided at short notice to spend the holidays with her family, Justine is all alone. But while the young student is preparing for a few leisurely days, she does not yet suspect that she has long been targeted by a satanic killer group. This hunts young women without recognizable motives and brutally murders them in order to then publish their bloodshed on the Internet. They always give their victims the name Kristy, as this name is derived from Jesus Christ and, according to their ideas, they also kill God with it. When Justine becomes aware of the impending danger, her elation turns into sheer panic and she takes refuge in the campus library, where a relentless struggle for life and death begins. But Justine develops a surprising stubbornness and kills all members of the satanist group. At the end of the film, she leaves the campus and believes that Justine no longer exists and that her name is now Kristy.
reception
The online cinema magazine cinema.de judged: A very gripping cat-and-mouse game with a remarkably authentic everyday heroine.
