Sexiest Man Alive

Sexiest Man Alive is an international award presented annually by the US People Magazine .

In an issue at the end of each year, People Magazine shares who the editors of the magazine think is the "man with the greatest sex appeal " of the year. The best-looking male celebrity is chosen. So far, only Brad Pitt (1995, 2000), George Clooney (1997, 2006) and Johnny Depp (2003, 2009) have won the title more than once. Richard Gere won once as part of "Sexiest Couple" (1993) together with Cindy Crawford and once as "Sexiest Man" (1999). Until 2012 - with the exception of John F. Kennedy, Jr. in 1988 - only actors were honored, since then personalities from other fields have also been chosen.

Similarly, Esquire magazine has been awarding the title of Sexiest Woman Alive every year since 2004 .
