Scott Rudin

Scott Rudin (born July 14, 1958 in New York City ) is an American film and theater producer .

Life

Scott Rudin got his start in the movie business while working for a casting agency on Broadway . As a theater director, Rudin won the Tony Award for his production of Passion .

Rudin became president of 20th Century Fox in the early 1980s . In 1987 he left Fox and began his own productions, with Sister Act and Addams Family becoming world successes.

In 2001 Iris was nominated for the British Academy Film Award for best British film . In 2008 he won an Oscar in the Best Picture category for the film No Country for Old Men .

As of 2012, Rudin has been one of the few people to win the Emmy , Grammy , Oscar and Tony Awards. He is the first producer to do this.

Rudin is openly gay with his significant other in New York City .
