Claudio Miranda

Claudio Miranda (* 1965 in Valparaíso , Chile ) is a Chilean cameraman and Oscar winner.

Life

In 1988 Miranda gained her first experience as a lighting technician for the documentary U2: Rattle and Hum . From 1994 Miranda worked as a gaffer a. a. in the films The Crow , Crimson Tide , and the David Fincher films Seven , The Game and Fight Club .

In 2001 he first worked as a cameraman on the short film Tell Me Who Ruby Was . He photographed his first feature film with Seduced to Undress and was then hired by David Fincher , with whom he had already worked several times, for The Strange Case of Benjamin Button . For his work on the film, he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Cinematography and for a British Academy Film Award .

The film Tron: Legacy followed in 2010 . The film is the sequel to Steven Lisberger's Tron . In 2012, he was involved in Life of Pi: Shipwreck with Tiger , directed by Ang Lee , and received his first Oscar for this work with his second nomination .
