Cynthia Stevenson

Cynthia Stevenson (born August 2, 1962 in Piedmont , California ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Stevenson grew up in Vancouver . She moved to Los Angeles after graduating from college . The actress made her debut in 1986 on the television series Off the Wall . In the television drama To the Moon, Alice (1991) she played a woman whose girlfriend was played by Lisa Kudrow .

Stevenson played a sister of Claudia Larson ( Holly Hunter ) and Tommy Larson ( Robert Downey junior ) in the 1995 comedy Family Festival and Other Trouble by Jodie Foster . In the film drama Happiness (1998) she took on one of the leading roles of the three sisters alongside Jane Adams and Lara Flynn Boyle . For this role she was awarded the National Board of Review Award in 1998 along with a number of other stakeholders . Her role in the comedy Air Bud 4 - Baseball Barks Better (2002) brought Stevenson the 2003 DVD Premiere Award for Best Supporting Actress . In the action comedies Agent Cody Banks (2003) and Agent Cody Banks 2: Mission London , she played the mother of the young secret agent Cody Banks ( Frankie Muniz ).

Stevenson has been married to assistant director Tom Davies since 1992 and has a son born in 1997.
