Corentin Moutet was able to celebrate his first successes on the junior tour. His best placement in the junior ranking was a 7th place in August 2017. In Grand Slams, he reached the semifinals at the Australian Open and Wimbledon . Moutet already played tournaments on the second and third class Challenger and Future Tour in 2014 . So far, he has won five individual titles on the Future Tour. In 2017 he reached his first semi-final at a Challenger tournament as a qualifier in Como . He lost this in three sets against the eventual tournament winner Pedro Sousa . In Brest he was able to win his first title in singles when he was able to prevail in two sets with a wildcard in the final against the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas .
As a 15-year-old Moutet received a wild card for qualifying in Metz . There he failed in the second qualifying round against his compatriot Pierre-Hugues Herbert . He made his Grand Slam debut in 2017 at the French Open . Together with Constant Lestienne he received a wildcard for the double field and met Lu Yen-hsun and Dustin Brown in the first round . Due to an injury-related task in the first set of his opponents, he made it into the second round. With 1: 6, 1: 6 there was a clear defeat against the duo Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecău . With the 160th place in October 2017 he made the jump into the top 200 in the world rankings for the first time .
