Raemon Sluiter (born April 13, 1978 in Rotterdam ) is a former Dutch tennis player .

Career

His highest ranking in the world rankings was number 46 on February 24, 2003. He was able to win 15 Challenger tournaments during his career and reach five finals on the ATP tour , three of them in singles. His greatest success was reaching the finals in Rotterdam , a tournament of the International Series Gold . He has been voted Sportsman of the Year in Rotterdam three times in a row. He ended his career in early 2008 at position 171 in the world rankings.

In 2009 he returned to the ATP tour for the tournament in 's-Hertogenbosch , for which he had received a wildcard . He reached there, placed in the world rankings on position 866, completely surprisingly the final, which he lost to Benjamin Becker . This made him the worst-placed player who has ever reached a final of the ATP Tour. In 2010 he finally ended his career after the Challenger tournament in Rhodes .

After his time as a professional he worked as a tennis coach. He has been coaching the Dutch tennis player Kiki Bertens since 2015 .
