Alexander Popp (born November 4, 1976 in Sandhausen ) is a former German tennis player . With a height of 2.01 meters and a weight of 85 kilograms, he was for a long time the longest professional tennis player in the world.

Career

In his career, which began in 1997, Popp won 45 matches with 65 losses. He reached a single and double final in his career, each at the Newport lawn tournament . Popp celebrated his greatest successes at Wimbledon , where he reached the quarter-finals in 2000 and 2003, defeating Michael Chang and Gustavo Kuerten , among others .
