The Next Generation Adelaide International 2008 was a tennis tournament that took place in Adelaide from December 31, 2007 to January 6, 2008 . It was part of the ATP Tour 2008 and was played outdoors on hard courts. The same week the Qatar ExxonMobil Open was held in Doha and the Chennai Open in Chennai . Like the Next Generation Adelaide International, both belong to the International Series category .

Novak Đoković was the defending champion in the singles and did not appear this year. In the final, the unseeded Michaël Llodra prevailed in two sets with 6: 2 and 6: 3 against the three seeded Jarkko Nieminen . In doubles, Wesley Moodie and Todd Perry were the defending champions. Only Perry competed this year and was eliminated in the first round. Martín García and Marcelo Melo won the title this year , defeating Chris Guccione and Robert Smeets 6: 3, 3: 6 and [10: 7] in the final .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. Total prize money was $ 440,000 and total financial liabilities were $ 465,000.

Qualification for the Next Generation Adelaide International 2008 took place December 29-30, 2007. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
