The US Men's Clay Court Championships 2016 (officially: Fayez Sarofim & Co US Men's Clay Court Championship ) were a tennis tournament that took place from April 4 to 10, 2016 in Houston . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2016 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week the Grand Prix Hassan II was played in Marrakech , which, like the US Men's Clay Court Championships, belongs to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Last year's winners were Jack Sock in singles and Ričardas Berankis and Teimuras Gabaschwili in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize pool was $ 515,025; total financial liabilities were $ 577,860.

qualification

The qualification took place from April 2nd to 3rd, 2016. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
