The Open 13 2016 was a tennis tournament that took place in Marseille from February 15 to 21, 2016 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2016 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week the Rio Open and Delray Beach the Delray Beach Open were played in Rio de Janeiro . The latter, like the Open 13, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category , while the Rio Open belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

Gilles Simon was the defending champion in singles, in doubles the pairing of Marin Draganja and Henri Kontinen won last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 596,790 euros; the total financial liabilities were 665,910 euros.

The qualification for the Open 13 took place from February 14th to 15th, 2016. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
