Marcus Daniell (born November 9, 1989 in Wairarapa ) is a New Zealand tennis player .

life and career

After Marcus Daniell was only active in future tournaments in the first few years, he had the surprising breakthrough at the home tournament in Auckland . Having only entered the competition through a wildcard, he and Horia Tecau were able to defeat Marcel Granollers and Tommy Robredo on the way to the final . In the final, they defeated Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares in straight sets. It was Daniell's first title on the ATP World Tour, through which he made over 400 places in the world rankings. In February 2015 he won his second double title in Montpellier .
