The Brasil Open 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in São Paulo from February 27 to March 6, 2017 . It was part of the 2017 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on sand. In the same week the Abierto Mexicano Telcel 2017 in Acapulco and the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2017 in Dubai . Both belong to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the tournament in São Paulo belongs to the lower endowed category of the ATP World Tour 250 .

Pablo Cuevas was the defending champion in singles, who has already won the tournament twice in a row. Julio Peralta and Horacio Zeballos won doubles last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize pool was $ 455,565; total financial liabilities were $ 520,285.
