The Rogers Cup 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Montreal from August 7th to 13th, 2017 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on hard courts. This season it was the sixth of nine tournaments in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category . In parallel, took place in Toronto and the Rogers Cup in 2017 instead of the ladies.

Defending champion in singles was Novak Đoković , in doubles Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo won the title last year .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 56 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The eight top seeded players in singles or pairings in doubles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize pool was $ 4,662,300; total financial liabilities were $ 5,275,595.

The qualification took place on August 5th and 6th, 2017. Seven qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
