The Abierto Mexicano Los Cabos 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 31 to August 5, 2017 in Cabo San Lucas in the Los Cabos community . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on hard courts. The same week the Citi Open took place in Washington, DC , and the Generali Open in Kitzbühel . The former belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the other two tournaments belonged to the lower endowed ATP World Tour 250 .

The defending champion was Ivo Karlović in singles and Purav Raja and Divij Sharan in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize pool was $ 637,395; total financial liabilities were $ 727,995.

The qualification took place from July 29th to 30th, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
