Manuel Sánchez Montemayor (born January 5, 1991 in San Luis Potosí ) is a Mexican tennis player .

Career

Sánchez mainly plays on the Future Tour and the ATP Challenger Tour . On the former he has so far won one title in singles and six titles in doubles.

In 2012 he made his debut on the ATP World Tour in Acapulco at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel with a wildcard . There he lost to Iván Navarro 1: 6, 6: 3, 1: 6. In 2015 he won his first victory on the ATP World Tour in doubles in the same place . With Tigre Hank as a partner, he won against Chris Guccione and Samuel Groth in three sets before they lost 6-0, 6-1 in the quarterfinals. In León , Sánchez won his first title on the Challenger Tour alongside Gonzalo Escobar when they beat Bradley Mousley and John-Patrick Smith in straight sets in the double final .

In 2011 he played for the Mexican Davis Cup team for the first time . in two encounters between 2011 and 2012 he won one of three matches in singles.
