The Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Umag from July 17 to 23, 2017 . It was part of the 2017 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on sand. In the same week the SkiStar Swedish Open was played in Båstad and the Hall of Fame Tennis Open in Newport . All three tournaments belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champions were Fabio Fognini in singles and Martin Kližan and David Marrero in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 482,060 euros; the total financial liabilities were 540,310 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place from July 16-17, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser because Borna Ćorić withdrew his participation.
