The 2017 Memphis Open was a tennis tournament that took place in Memphis from February 13-19, 2017 . The tennis tournament was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was held indoors on a hard court. The same week the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament was played in Rotterdam and the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires . The former was in the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the tournaments in Memphis and Buenos Aires were in the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Kei Nishikori has won the last four editions of the tournament. In doubles, Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Santiago González defended their title in the previous year and were therefore also defending champions in 2017.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 642,750; total financial liabilities were $ 720,410.

The qualification took place from February 11 to 12, 2017. Four places were played for participation in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
