Sam Querrey was the defending champion in the singles, but he was eliminated in the quarterfinals that year. In the final, top seeded Andy Roddick prevailed against Milos Raonic in a close three-set match . It was his third triumph in Memphis (after 2002 and 2009) and his 30th career title overall. Sam Querrey also competed in doubles together with John Isner as defending champion, but they were eliminated in the second round. Here too, Max Mirny and Daniel Nestor won the first place, who won against Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer in the final . This was their first joint title, but Nestor had won the Memphis tournament in 1996 and 2003 with other partners.
The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 32 players, that of the double competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize money was $ 1,100,000; total financial liabilities were $ 1,226,500.
The qualification took place from February 12th to 13th, 2011. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
The following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who moved into the main draw via qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. Prize money for the double competition applies per team.
