The PTT Thailand Open 2011 was a tennis tournament that took place from September 26th to October 2nd, 2011 in Bangkok . It was part of the 2011 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the Malaysian Open was played in Kuala Lumpur , which, like the PTT Thailand Open, was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the singles was Guillermo García-López . However, this time he was eliminated in the second round. In this year's individual final, the top seeded Andy Murray defeated the American Donald Young , who played his first ATP final; Murray celebrated his third season and nineteenth career title. Last year's double winners Christopher Kas and Viktor Troicki did not defend their title. In the final, Oliver Marach and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi defeated the German pairing Michael Kohlmann and Alexander Waske on their team debut ; for Marach it was the third, for Qureshi the second title of the season.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the double competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize pool was $ 587,000; total financial liabilities were $ 644,500.

The qualification took place from September 24th to 26th, 2011. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
