Defending champion in the singles was Andreas Seppi , but he was eliminated in the quarterfinals. In the final, the Dutchman Robin Haase defeated the Spaniard Albert Montañés - this was Haase's first ATP final and thus also his first title at ATP level. In doubles Dustin Brown and Rogier Wassen were the defending champions, but this year they competed with other partners and failed in the first round or in the quarterfinals. In the final, Daniele Bracciali and Santiago González defeated the Brazilians Franco Ferreiro and André Sá . The victory in Kitzbühel is the first joint title, for Bracciali it is the second season and fourth career title, for González the second season and third career title.
The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the double competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 398,500 euros; the total financial liabilities were 450,000 euros.
The qualification took place from July 29th to 31st, 2011. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
The following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who moved into the main draw via qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. Prize money for the double competition applies per team.
