The Generali Open 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 31 to August 5, 2017 in Kitzbühel . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week were in Los Cabos , the Abierto Mexicano Los Cabos and in DC Washington, the Citi Open played. The latter belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the other two tournaments belonged to the lower endowed ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champions were Paolo Lorenzi in singles and Wesley Koolhof and Matwé Middelkoop in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 463,520 euros; the total financial liabilities were 520,070 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place on July 29th and 30th, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
