The Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Doha from January 2nd to 7th, 2017 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Brisbane International was played in Brisbane and the Aircel Chennai Open in Chennai , which, like the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Last year's winner in singles was Novak Đoković . Feliciano López and Marc López won the last edition in doubles .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

The qualification took place on December 31, 2016 and January 1, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
