Anıl Yüksel (born May 19, 1990 in Venlo ) is a Turkish - Dutch tennis player .

Career

At the beginning of his tennis career, Yüksel played a few matches on the ITF Junior Tour from 2005 to 2007, where he was temporarily in the top 500.

From 2007 he also played on the professional tour - at the lowest endowed level of the ITF Future Tour - where he could hardly win any matches for a long time. By the end of 2013, he had been in a future final four times in doubles without winning any of them with his partner. In addition, he was in a future semi-final in singles. After all, the Turk was able to take part for the first time in a higher-endowed tournament on the ATP Challenger Tour in Mersin , where he was defeated by Dušan Lajović .

In the following years, Yüksel gradually worked his way up from world number 1000 to his previous highest position 492 on November 21, 2016. In four finals on the Future Tour, however, he still failed to win the title. In doubles, on the other hand, there are four future titles between 2014 and 2016, which led Anıl Yüksel to 528th in the doubles world rankings. In 2017 Yüksel had his premiere on the ATP World Tour in Doha , where he was allowed to participate in the individual competition with a wildcard and there against Jiří Veselý . He clearly lost the match 2: 6 and 3: 6.

Davis Cup

Since 2013, Anıl Yüksel has played in five games for the Turkish Davis Cup team , for which he has a score of 3-2.
