The tournament took place between December 30, 2002 and January 5, 2003 in Qatar , Doha . The individual was won by unset Stefan Koubek , who succeeded Younes El Aynaoui with his third career title . Prize money of US $ 975,000 was awarded. The doubles were won by Martin Damm and Cyril Suk . The ATP supervisor was Ed Hardisty.

With Fabrice Santoro and Younes El Aynaoui , two former tournament winners took part.
