The Millennium Estoril Open 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Estoril from May 1st to 7th, 2017 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on a clay court. The same week the BMW Open was played in Munich and the TEB BNP Paribas İstanbul Open in Istanbul , which, like the Millennium Estoril Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in singles was Nicolás Almagro , in doubles Eric Butorac and Scott Lipsky won the title last year .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 482,060 euros; the total financial liabilities were 540,310 euros.

The qualification took place from April 23 to 24, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
