The If Stockholm Open 2017 was a tennis tournament , which from 16 to 22 October, 2017 in Stockholm took place. It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week the Kremlin Cup was played in Moscow and the European Open in Antwerp . The If Stockholm Open belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champions were Juan Martín del Potro in singles and the pairing Elias Ymer and Mikael Ymer in doubles.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round.

qualification

The qualification took place from October 14-15, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
